With the $885M Northern Connector recently completed, South Road will be directly linked to the Northern Expressway and the Northern Industrial precincts.

Other recent infrastructure upgrades include:

• The Port River Expressway, linking Salisbury Highway, Highway 1 and the North of Adelaide with the Port of Adelaide (South Australia’s primary freight port).
• South Road Superway and associated projects along South Road aim to create freeway style access throughout Adelaide’s North and South based metropolitan settlements.
• The Penfield Intermodal (in proximity to Lionsgate Business Park) is a newly completed rail intermodal providing linkages to interstate networks.
• The Northern Expressway, a new freeway linking Highway 1 with Sturt Highway.
